I don't think that a Brick Level Backup is a critical feature in the
Exchange market. First of all it is slow, really slow compared to a standard
backup. Yes, the restore of a single mailbox is not easy. But tools like
ExMerge allow you to perform a backup of selected mailboxes.
The most important fact to implement is a fast normal backup of the Exchange
databases.
