ADSM does not provide 'Brick Level' backups of Exchange Server.
From what I understand, Microsoft does not support brick level backups.
The products that are doing 'Brick Level' backups are using unpublished
(unsupported) API calls.
You should be aware that if you are looking at one of those products that
use 'Brick Level' backups, that you loose single instance storage when you
do so your 10GB Information Store, when backed up at the 'Brick Level' could
grow quite large depending on number of attachments and number of
recipients.
Microsoft recommends that you do a standard backup of the IS and 'Brick
Level' backups of 'Important' mailboxes.
