first you have to determine why your DB is increasing so rapidly (do your
clients really so much new/changed data?)

Next question is how you work with your diskpool - Daily migration with
caching enabled? Then disable caching!
Otherwise have a look at the data you're backing up (any unnecessary from
Operating Systems / have all clients the directories they're backing up set
in the domain option / how many VERExists are really necessary, how many
days must these be retained and could retonly be reduced / ...)
If you reduce the data you're backing up, this will also reduce your DB.
