Hello,
you can use the "mttest" command under /usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin
Steps.
1. ./mttest
2. select 1: manual test
3. select 1: set device special file     ex: /dev/rmt0
4. select 20: open
5. select 46: device information or select 37: inquiry
