If you have a copypool that has the data on it, look at the restore
     volume command.

I think following command should work
delete vol volname discard=yes. Please note that volume will be deleted
permanently

How do I remove the entries for a broken tape from ADSM  ? I am running
3.1.2.20 on AIX and I have had no success in doing this so far
