I don't use IBMtape driver since you don't need to use it with DLT. I can see 
all the devices on probe-scsi.
did you follow the instruction of the 'Installation Quick Start' ? specially 
the editing of mt.conf,st.conf and running the
add_drv command for the tape and the library ? The add-drv command will add the 
drivers for the mt (drives) and lb (library)
according to the entries in the mt.conf and lb.conf
