Excluding the file caused ADSM to mark it as inactive. It will then be
deleted from the system based on the copy policy that it was backed up
under.

Subject: Lost files?

Hi all:

I would like your opinion about the following:

This problem involves a file (1 GB), which has no changes, but its date
use to be modified frecuently. This forces a dayly backup. We wanted to
avoid this dayly backup.
As the file doesn't change, just its date, we just wanted to keep the
last backup
With this purpose we excluded explicitly the file in dsm options file.
Previously the backup was checked with "query backup <path\filename>".
Recently we wanted to check the last backup of this file, and it is
missing for ADSM. We tried "query backup ...", and restore, but the file is
not found.

Can anybody explain this?

I just can suppose that the fact of excluding this file forced the deletion
of the file on ADSM Database.

I will wait faithfully your opinions.
