I should emphasize that we have had no problems with the ADSM data.

Our issues, which are primarily with DFSMShsm-managed data, were not related
to any specific type of file.  We seem to be having more problems with our
DFSMShsm-managed migrated/archived files than with our DFSMShsm-managed
backups.  This may be caused by the amount of activity on the cartridges
which are shared across mainframe images.

In our environment, each of our ADSM servers has exclusive use of its own
tapes.  Therefore, there isn't any chance of another server interrupting a
process to acquire use of a mounted, active cartridge.  We are assuming that
since there is a very limited number of recalls/restores coming off of the
ADSM tapes, we are not experiencing the same issues as on MVS.

We haven't had to schedule a microcode upgrade since April 18, so hopefully
everything has stabilized.
