Hi all,

I'm running ADSM server 3.1.1.5 under AIX 4.2.1 with AIX client 3.1.06 for
a couple of month without problems.

Now I have to  archive a special application. The needs are to to daily
archives (on Monday to Thursday and Saturday and Sunday) with a retain
period of 7 days, weekly archives (on Friday) with a retain period of 31
days and monthly archives (last day of month) with a retain period of 12
months.

The directory structure is /paisyfs11/PAISY/DB where we have only symbolic
links. The symbolic links are piointing to /paisyfs21/haindl/files where
all the datasets are stored. Now when I'm running an > archive -su=no
-archmc=mc_daily   /paisyfs11/PIASY/DB/< the symbolic links will not be
archived (which seems to be ok. ---> see symlink.doc, supplied with client

3.1.0.5; documentation change), but the directory structure is archived
with a retain value of 30 days, not 7 days. The files are archived with a
retain value of 7 days.

Any idea why the directories don't have 7 days? Is it possible to prevent
ADSM from archiving the directory structure? Any help would be appreciated.
