I've had great problems in figuring out what the real problem is.

1. The ADSM-Message is misleading: errno 5 is an EIO error but this code
does not apply to read operations!

2. The values for Sense Key or ASC/ASCQ codes are not common ones, therfore
I wasn't able to find a description.

But if you have an error with the tape drive itself, normally the microcode
level is displayed in the third row of the sense data.

There might be a problem with a specific tape which is mounted at that
moment.
