I just know a workaround for that job.
Load toolbox on the Netware console (download it from www.novell.com)

Put in the dsm.opt file this lines
Prescheduledcmd          "precmd.ncf"
Postschedcmd         "postcmd.ncf"

"precmd.ncf"
#############
load toolbox
mkdir sys:cdrive
copy c:\*.* sys:cdrive /s

"postcmd.ncf"
#############
unload toolbox

This copy the local files to the sys volume before the backup starts.
