The status of the scheduled backup will be 'failed' even if only one
file failed to be backup, regardless that overall the backup was
successfull. You can get the details from the client dsmsched.log
file.
No, the backup will not terminate after a failed backup, it should
proceed to the next file, even if it exceeded the backup window.
