I have been also having such problems lately . I have also upgraded the server 
to 2.13 level recently.

Hi,

We recently upgraded our 3466 to the latest EC level, 3.1.2.13, and since
yesterday we are having some strange trouble with the server.

It seems like the server is falling asleep all the time. After being able to
connect and issue commands without problems for some time, the connection
seems to go dead for a couple of minutes. Then everything seems to be normal
again (the connection isn't lost), but after a while the problem reoccurs.
At first I thought it was a network problem, but it's not, since I can
connect to the AIX-box without problems.

During the "sleeping" periods, no messages are sent to the console, although
the server seems to remain active (processes keep on running normally). When
it "wakes up" again, a bunch of messages appears at once. I don't really
have a clue about what server activity the problems seem to relate to. I
thought it might have something to do with some process waiting for a tape
to be mounted, but I have no proof for this.

Has anyone seen this behaviour before?
