Alan:
You can review the dsm.log file found in \agentln directory if the agent is
not running.
You can also find a good information source in the bookfrm.htm file that was
installed with the agent.
To quickly verify if a database has been backed up with the Agent, you can
issue a
dsmnotes query DBname this will display backed up version of  documents in a
database
