Leandro,
ADSM by default backs up files and directories resides on JFS (e.g. AIX)
only. If you create your chunks/dbspace on logical volume (raw device)
instead of files, there are extra steps involved in setting up the backup
solution. At the moment, I don't think there's any agent for Informix, as
contrast to Oracle, DB2, Notes and SAP.

ADSM communicates to the Informix database via ADSM API (installed from the
ADSM's API fileset) where the API will extract a set of libraries to the
system. With Informix version 7.2x and above, they have come up with a
backup utility called onbar that works with a storage manager (act like
ontape). onbar will then back up the data from Informix engine and send it
to the ADSM's storage pools via the API.

I think you can refer to the redbooks on database backup, it includes steps
to setup environment for Informix database online backup.
