Hi bill,
I faced a similar problem with SP4 on compaq. It does now look like,
it could be problem with SP4 installed machines only.
I downgraded my client to 3.1.0.5 and used the memoryefficient option. in
the absence of this option my server used to still crash inspite of the peak
memory usage on the compaq client for the dsmc process being only 16Mb .
a case for a possible memory leak . not quite sure.
Since the last week or so there has been no reboot.
