I have a client with lots of Windows NT Server 4.0 SP3 boxes that get these
memory reference errors and the scheduler service stops. Each of these are
running Lotus Notes, but I've had other servers that aren't. I have an open
issue with IBM about this, but so far their only suggestion (NOT solution)
has been to:
1. Uninstall the current client
2. Reboot
3. Install 3.1.0.6 client
4. Reboot.
This process seems to lower the frequency of the errors, but doesn't
eliminate them. IBM gave me some trace flags to run with, but the error now
occurs so infrequently (one every week or so) that I haven't been able to
get the traces. I have been sending them the Dr Watson error logs.
These servers are running 3.1.0.3, 3.1.0.5 and 3.1.0.6 version of the
client and they are all failing. The 3.1.0.6 with the clean install just
fails less.
One interesting fact is that one of the Notes administrators found that one
of their old servers that will be going out of service soon hasn't ever
failed. It is running a Version 2.x client. Interesting!?

We have one NT server - not running Notes - that gets
this. It runs an EDI package called Mercator. I dont
think we are having a luck in resolving this ...
