No I haven't seen it pointing to the wrong item of a list, if that's what you
are complaining about, but I do have
some corruption in the datastream.

e.g. when defining a new management class from the web client the actlog
showed...
03/29/99 13:21:28 ANR2017I Administrator STEVEH issued command: DEFINE
MGMTCLASS AIX AIXPOL demo_pipe DESCRIPTION="Oracle TS in
Demo DB via adsmpipe" SPACEMGTECHNIQUE=NONE AUTOMIGNONUS-
                       E=0 MIGREQUIRESBKUP=YES
03/29/99 13:21:28 ANR2020E DEFINE MGMTCLASS: Invalid parameter - DESCRI<TIO-
                       N.

Its strange that the ANR2017I message shows the generated command correctly, but
the error is seen at some lower level.

Another example. The same command twice with different corruptions. The third
attempt worked.

03/29/99 15:38:10 ANR2017I Administrator STEVEH issued command: DEFINE
                       SCHEDULE cycle_copypool CMD="upd stg copypool reclaim=40"
ACTIVE=YES DESCRIPTION="Weekly recycle of copypool tapes"

03/29/99 15:38:10 ANR2020E DEFINE SCHEDULE: Invalid parameter - <ERUNITS.

                       <C0EDULE cycle_copypool CMD="upd stg copypool reclaim=40"
ACTIVE=YES DESCRIPTION="Weekly recycle of copypool tapes"

03/29/99 15:38:15 ANR2000E Unknown command - DEFINE <C0EDULE.

More worrying is here, where I have just combined all of my backup stgpool
commands into a script. The first time it ran, there was a syntax error..
Its a little hard to read because the messages from the command that just
completed are mingled with the one thats just starting. But, there was no
real syntax error and the next time, the script ran perfectly.

It may be some sort of timing issue. The box is an 8 way rs/6000 S70 with 6 GB
of main memory and as we're not in production yet there is nothing much
happening other than ADSM. AIX is 4.3.2 and adsm is 3.1.2.0.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Subject: Web Gui ...

Has anyone had the problem of using the web gui to update a schedule? We have
several rerun schedules we use to run missed backups. While using the web gui
to update a schedule, the schedule we intended to update changes to a different
schedule.
eg. We click on the update schedule link for test_rerun. When the new page
comes up, it says that the schedule we are updating is anotherschedule_rerun.

hhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm?
