I have seen this error when a mailbox has crashed or inadvertently been shut
down.
I have had to wait for a reboot of the server to "free" up this mailbox
before the agent would back it up.
Will the agent backup other mail databases or are they all giving this
error?
There is also a switch under properties for the mailbox , that you will need
to select that allows it to be shared, I just remembered this is also
creating your error, while trying to backup a mailbox.
