It's an InstallShield problem. If there's more than about 1GB freespace on the
logical drive used for temp, InstallSheld fails as you describe. Workaround is
to set system environments for TMP and TEMP to a drive with less than 1GB
freespace.
Good luck

Subject: Problem installing ADSM client 3.1.0.6 on WindowsNT SP3
G'day,
We are trying to install the ADSM client on one of our WindowsNT boxes and
aren't having a lot of luck. The ADSM client version is 3.1.0.6 and
WindowsNT is 4.0 SP3. We have installed the client from the same media on
others boxes with no problems.
What happens is that we run setup.exe, we get the first screen pop up that
has the progress indictor on it. Just after it reaches 100%, another (very
small) window pops up with a big X on a red background, and on OK button.
Nothing else at all. When we press OK, setup exits.
Anyone seen this before? Any suggestions?
thanks,
Trevor
