We have been using a modified version of the techniques used by IBM's
Business Recovery Services to recover NT systems.  You can find a copy of
their official technique at http://www.brs.ibm.com/.  This has been
invaluable to us in recovering NT systems to different model hardware or
different manufacturers hardware.  We have been successful in both cases
with a minimal headaches.  Hope this helps.
