Change the DOMAIN statement to include all the drives that you want to
backup using the UNC format.
e.g. \\ServerA\C$ \\ServerA\D$ \\ServerB\F$
Then change the ADSM Service to run under a DOMAIN account. The local system
account has no privileges to backup
network drives.
I don't see a need to Net use to the drive unless it's in an untrusted
domain, then ofcourse you'd have to come up with
a completely different plan, as you wouldn't be able to run the ADSM Service
using an account from an untrusted domain.

Subject: NT Backup - network drive
Hi,
I have an Windows NT server running the version 3.1.0.6 client. The
server is running an ADSM scheduler service which backs up the
local
drives on the box each night. The account used by the NT service is
the
system account. Can anyone tell me how I can setup this backup to
backup a network drive of another NT server. I have seen in the
documentation that you need to set a NETUSE command to mount the
drive
but this assumes you can log in to the account to enter this
command.
How do I do this using the NT system account ?? Do I need to define
an
account and use it to do the Network map and then setup the NT
service
to use this account to do the evening backup ??
