Have you considered the AIT libraries that are available?  We've done some
testing and have been very impressed so far.  Qualstar is one of our
partners, so we're a little biased in their direction, but check them out.
 Good library with small to very large capacity, the drives themselves seem
to be very fast, exceeding DLT in some of our tests, tapes mount quicker,
etc.  Cost of media is very similar and capacity is growing soon to 50
GB/cartridge native.  Add compression and you've got some data.
