Backing up to the VSE drives is always a lot slower. Also what kind of tape
library are you using and what is the speed. Your question about performance
of Token Ring to VSE attached is difficult to answer because of a lot of
factors like adapters are influencing the performance. When you upgrade the
server to release 3 you should be able to get a higher performance. Also
more than one NIC card can resolve some performance problems and 2 or 4 way
cpu's.

When I have more info I look into this.
