Eric, We're NT 4, version ADSM Vers 3, with 3575 L12, 2 type c drives.
Timely
you should ask
about performance as we've been studying that. Another interesting fact is
that
our ADSM Server machine is shared by a Domion Server (blah!).

The stats: All of the following are based on actual data sizes and
compression
ratio resulting in 9GB actual data per 5 GB tape.

backup of local hard drive data on the ADSM Server runs about 10GB/hour if
the
Domino Server isn't too busy. If the Domino Server is pretty busy, that
number
is 7GB/hour.

NT Client across 16 MB LAN with client compression backup data rate is
7GB/hour. The compression ratio at the client is 60%. The client is Compaq
3000
300mhz x 2 processors.

Tape Copy pool operations run at 17GB/hour.

Hope this helps.

Subject: ADSM performance on Windows NT

Hi ADSM-ers!
I am looking for a company that is using the following:
ADSM for Windows NT version 3 server.
3575 tape drives (and library)
I am especially interested in performance and/or benchmark figures.
You can make me VERY happy if you can provide me some data about the
performance with such a configuration.
Kindest regards,
Eric van Loon
