Recently we upgraded the software on one of our Sun SPARCstation's from
Solaris 2.5 to Solaris 2.6, a workstation that was backed up by our ADSM
server (ADSM for MVS v3.1). We then installed the current client package for
ADSM for Solaris 2.6 (version 3, release 1, level 0.6). We kept one of the
filesystems the same on the new server as on the old server because we
wanted to retain some of the versions of the files that we had backed up.
The problem is that when we try to restore a file that was backed up before
we upgraded on the ADSM Solaris 2.6 client, we get the following message :

Internal system error

Please check the ADSM Error Log for any additional information.

When I checked the error log on the server I found the following :

TransErrno: Unexpected error from ACL(SETACL), errno=89

Has anybody encountered this error before ? I was not able to find anf
reference to SETACL in the ADSM server/client manuals. I was able to restore
the file to another client/node; this node had access to the upgraded node
and was running ADSM for Solaris 2.5.1 client.

Also, when I do a "query filespace" all the other nodes (all using Solaris
2.5.1 ADSM client software) list the "Platform" as "SunOS", and the 2.6
client lists it as "SUN SOLARIS". Any answers as to why this would have
changed.

Thanks for your help,
Mac
