Hi,
I have the following problem:
a user with a win95 system installed win32 client current version, i.e.
IP21371S.EXE dated from August 25th 1998. He got it from the mirror in
Germany. When running dsm.exe he gets:

Assertion failed!
Program C:WIN32APP\\IBM\ADSM\BACLIENT\DSM.exe
file dsmem.c
line 1506
Expression: CB_HDRP ((char*)blkP_FB.SIZE(blkP))->prevFree==0
Press Retry to debug the application- JIT must be enabled

I checked the databases and found APAR IC21749 which exactly describes
the problem. The recommendation in the APAR is to use a different
language.
Now I have the following questions.
1. With 3.1.0.3 I had problems with the US English version and
Filenames with National characters (e.g. umlauts). They were not
dislayed correctly. Has this been fixed in 3.1.0.5? Sorry, I had
problems to understand the recent discussion on this subject.
2. Why doesn't this problem occur on each system where the client is
installed?
3. What should I recommend to the user? Going back to 3.1.0.3?
Best regards
Gerhard
