Hi Everybody !

We have a couple of  problems with our spectra logic tape library model
10000-20(slots) with 2 AIT drives and a barcode reader. The device has a 10 
Inch touchscreen 
with several menus and functions that appealed to me. Even though the WWW page 
says this device is supported using the BASE device support  ADSM 3.1.2.0 
required advanced device support. Without ADS we  where able to label tapes but 
could not check them in. Labeling tapes with the labelsource=barcode option GUI 
or any other command to read the barcode
with ADSM did result with a  "no barcodes available"  message. The library 
reads the barcodes and I can see  the barcodes
on the touchscreen. We are using 6 digit barcodes and they are the right 
barcodes for the device.
Is there another user on this list with a similar device ?
I have labeled the tapes the same as the barcodes when I checked them in so I 
can check their position with the librarys touchscreen. AUDIT LIBRARY loaded 
all the cartridges and read the label on the tape. 
NOT VERY NICE !!!!

We have logged a call with IBM and Spectra Logic regarding this problem.

Can anybody help me with this problem?
