Please note that the purpose of the Web Clients (available 1999 01 15) is to
provide full function, 3rd party (helpdesk) operational capability. So, once
you have the Web Client, point your own Web Browser at the ADSM client on which
you are intending to perform an ADSM-related operation (backup, restore,
archive, retrieve, etc.), log on as properly authorized administrator to do
"helpdesk" functions, and do your work.

Note that the currently available Webshell client can restore active versions
of files. The Webshell client can be considered as a low-function (and perhaps
not-so-elegant) predecessor of the Web Clients. But, it works and can be used -
try it. See the instructions in webshell.txt in your "baclient" directory.

Hi Chris (or is it FuFu?)!
There is a small (Freeware!!!) application you can use to take over a
remote Windows 95 or NT desktop and control it through your browser. You
can perform all local functions on a remote desktop (any platform!) with
a browser.
Take a look at VNC at: http://www.orl.co.uk/vnc/index.html
Kindest regards,
Eric van Loon
