I have never installed an NSM, but if it requires a separate install of ADSM 
get the book, "ADSTAR Distributed Storage Manager for AIX:  Quick Start"  
gc35-0273-00.

Hi ADSM-ers!
We are using a Network Storage Manager, which is basically a
pre-installed AIX server.
I will have to re-install this server from scratch pretty soon due to
operational reasons.
I would like to know which manuals I will need to do a full
(re-)install, since I have never done this. I foresee problems with
porting the licenses and database references etc. Suggestion and tips
are greatly appreciated!
