So it looks like this will be a new industry standard.

The new LTO standard consists out of two standards.
1) Accelis, which is now called Magstar MP: Very high performance,
rather low capacity.
2) Ultrium: High performance, very high capacity (100 Gb. for the first
generation, up to 800 Gb. per tape for the generations to come).
The only downside: It isn't there yet... My guess is that we will have
to wait until 2nd. quarter 1999.
