v3 client performance on IRIX 6.4?

Subject: v3 client performance on IRIX 6.4?

I'm seeing really hideous network performance on my v3.1.0.5
IRIX 6.4 client (~100KB/sec on a 100Mb switched port).  Even my 10Mb
machines are beating that...

Any ideas on where I should look to improve things?  The interface itself
looks clean (not reporting collisions).  I'm taking all the ADSM defaults
in dsm.sys.
