This morning I started to get the ANR1086W message while doing
reclamation processing. Q VOL * * showed that there were just under
1,100 tapes in the BACKTAPE pool and I had the MAXSCRatch value set at
1,200. Are the tapes that are used for DB backups included in that
number? Is anything else included there. I run with the REUsedelay set
to 0, so there shouldn't be a lot of tapes tied up there. I increased
the MAXSCR value to 1400 and that didn't help. I recycled the server
hoping that something may get reset or magically fixed, but no. I've
since increased MAXSCR to 1600 with no change.

What did change, tho, was that this afternoon after running out of
anything else to guess at, I did a full DB backup, DEVCONFIG backup, and
VOLH backup and now it all seems to be working.

Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone seen this? I am running a V2
server on VM and haven't touched the server code in months.
