The following works for us...
Query VOLHistory TYPE=DBB
Determine which Backupfull volume is to be returned to the
library/scratch pool, note the date of the most
recent tape that will be coming back, you will need this date
for the next step. (mm/dd/ccyy)
DELete VOLHist Type=DBBackup TODate=mm/dd/ccyy
(Where mm/dd/ccyy is 1 day greater than the date recorded above.
Deleting the volume
history of the Database Backups makes them eligible to become
scratch tapes when
they are put back into the library.)
