Of course we do have  copypool  for important data on other adsm servers.
 The problem  is that  this server   is mainly  used for Lotus Notes
mailfiles and they are not
considered as important as satellite data !

I don`t know want your primary business is but not having a copypool is a

VERY VERY BAD IDEA.

Because: If you loose 1 tape due to media error or human error your are
will end
up in a very unstable situation.

150 carts (3590`s at 60$/each == 9000$)


I would ask my boss HOW MUCH is business is worth to him? 9000$?

I dont think so... you would not be using ADSM for backups.

I could tell you a little horror story but I`d get fired ... :-)
