Yes I have seen this before.

In our situation, we had a couple of bad tapes. I heard of more people with
this problem. Just check out all bad tapes from the library and leave 'm
out. DO NOT FORGET you will loose the information on the tapes that you
checkout.

How to test a tape
      audit vol XXX fix=yes skippartial=yes
See which tapes have a readonly state
     q vol access=readonly
Set the tape which had an error(are readonly) to unavailable
     update vol XXX access=unavialable
Find out all tapes unavailable
     q vol access=unavailable
Delete these volumes from storage pools
     delete vol XXX discard=yes
Finaly, check them out of the library
     checkout libv 3575lib XXX checklabel=no remove=yes

Hi ADSMers!

Are there any known problems with ADSM/VM 2.1.08 and the following tape
drive
configuration?
We have a 3591 control unit and two 3590 drives. The 3591 control units
emulates
3490E drives (which seems to be supported by ADSM, 3590 are not).
We now receive the following error messages during our migration from
disk to tape:

ANR1000I Migration process 31 started for storage pool BACKUPPOOL.

ANR2751I Scheduled command MIGRATION_START_DIENSTAG completed
successfully.
ANR5230I 026: Starting Exit Machine ADSM to mount CARTRIDGE 000520.

ANR5204I AUTO LOGON *** ADSM USERS = 67

ANR5301I 026: Verifying volume label 000520 on device 1D00.

ANR5313I 026: Mount for 000520 complete on device 1D00.

ANR5364E Record sequence error on device 1D00.

ANR5322I Permanent error on volume 000520 on device 1D00.

ANR1411W Access mode for volume 000520 now set to "read-only" due to
write error
ANR5208I Dismounting volume 000520 (updated).

ANR5322I Permanent error on volume 000520 on device 1D00.

Has anyone seen this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Kind regards
