Hi Anton and Josee,

Did you put the following line in dsm.sys?

PASSWORDACCESS Generate

You also need the node name to be set in dsm.sys. One problem we found
after we upgraded to ADSM 3.1 was that we had an old copy of libApiDS.a in the
DB2 instance path.

DB/2 likes the ADSM client on AIX to be at version 3.1.10.3G and the ADSM
ftp site has the 3.1.10.3 base code along with a patch for level G.

    I hope this helps.

Hi,

I'm trying to backup DB2/2 2.1.2 database to ADSM. I've setup adsm client
api (v. 2.1.6) and run adsmapipw.exe from SQLLIB\ADSM. Got a message that
my password had been updated. Then I started the job and it failed. ADSM
server reported wrong password on the console. Maybe I did something wrong.
Pls. somebody help.

Anton Gubarkov, ADSM adsmin at SONY, Moscow.
