look into dsmserv.dsk
     that should be the file that lists your db & log volumes... probably
     if your install files are listed in there it will REQUIRE them to
     exist to start (or even run the install)...  you might try to empty
     that file and rerun the install.

     Sounds like some added CYA stuff

ADSM Server 3.1.1.0

With Version 2  I used to delete the log and db file created at install
time and recreate
a new db  using the dsmserv install command:

dsmserv install   1  path_log_file    1    path_db_file

Now, having installed  version  3  it seems that   the dsmserv  command
doesn't accept
anymore  the install option.

Is that true or am I missing something ?
