Yes, definitely!
Though RAID device mirroring will cover for hardware discrepancies that may
arise, it wouldn't have the wherewithal to recognize logic inconsistencies
between the mirrored copies-only ADSM can spot these. ADSM can and does
correct these wonderfully well via ADSM mirroring. But if the DB is RAID
mirrored only, and logic inconsistencies cropped up, the Server will crash,
due to a hopelessly corrupt DB, and the DB will then have to be rebuilt.
