ADSM uses the volume history as an external place to store record of
dbb's; otherwise how would it/you know which is the latest dbb?  But you
know that part.  The stgnew's and stgdel's are for you, if you want to
know when volumes are used and reclaimed.  When you are done with that
info, you can used the del volh, but that doesn't affect ADSM's
knowledge of the fact it is using a volume.
