I am considering using ADSM's Exchange Agent, and I was curious
if anyone had experience with this in a disaster recovery scenario. We
are running Exchange 5.5 on NT 4.0 servers. Our current disaster
recovery procedures for NT servers is to install NT workstation after
hardware repairs are made, install ADSM, then recover everything from
backup, edit the boot.ini file, and after rebooting the server comes up
in mint condition.
Adding Exchange into the mix, would it just be a matter of using
the agent to restore the Exchange database after the fact, or would the
Exchange software need to be reinstalled? (Reinstallation of
applications is not currently necessary with the procedures we have in
place.)
Any tips from people using ADSM Exchange agent would be
appreciated. Thanks!!
