In my opinion, it's a question of IP routing, not of ADSM. If you want to
use the ethernet string to back up, you must use the ip adress of the adsm
server ethernet card as serveraddress, and you have to set the right
routes(tracert will help you to show the really used routes). And, on
Ethernet, you have 10 instead of 16 mbit, and, if you back up multiple
systems the same time - COLLISIONS. May be you should use a tool for
monitoring network traffic, like Intel lanalyzer. I expect the throughput
on 10 mbit ethernet not more than half of 16 mbit tr, if you back up
multiple servers the same time.
