David,

Thanks for your response.
Maybe you can tell me what i'm doing wrong.

I created a global group called BACKUP_OPER
I created a user account called BACKUP_USER

I put the BACKUP_USER in the global BACKUP_OPER group.
I put the global BACKUP_OPER group in the local BACKUP_OPERATORS group.

I configure the service "ADSM Central Scheduler Service" to start the the
account BACKUP_USER and with the correct password.

I assign the Advance User Right "Manage auditing and security log" to the local
BACKUP_OPERATORS group.

When i now started the service "ADSM Central Scheduler Service", it will fail.

I can't find why......hopefully you can give me some advice.

with kind regards, / met vriendelijke groeten,

                Hi all,

Is there anyone who has experience with running the ADSM
Central Scheduler
Service running under another account then the SYSTEM
account of NT.

We are using NT 4.0 and ADSM V3.0.

What do i have to do to let it work, by giving the
useraccount the minimal
                needed rights at the server.
