Ok, thanks to you and Richard for your very clear answers.  In our case
(AFS), all directories have ACL's and, so, go to storage pools.  What I
don't understand then is why all directories from a client are associated
with the same management class, either by default or by the parameter DIRMC
(if I got that right), and therefore are sent to the same set of storage
pools, whereas files, by setting management classes in the inclexcl.def
file, can be directed to different sets of storage pools.  I'd really like
the directories to be on the same set of tapes as the files in them.

Did I get that right?  If so, the only solution I can see is to back up each
station to only one set of storage pools (primary + copy).
