Hi Chad,

You can create a new management class with a backup copygroup
that has the mode set to ABSOLUTE. Then you can put an INCLUDE
statement in DSM.OPT to bind the files to this new management
class. Don't forget to:

1) Activate the policy set after you define the management
class and copygroup.

2) Restart the scheduler after modifying DSM.OPT.

Andy

Subject: Full Backup of one subdirectory

Hello backup folks!

We have a third party program with data in one subdirectory stored in
multiple files. Occasionaly the data becomes corrupt, requiring a
restore. However, because its a third party app, no one is quite sure
which files need to be restored and from what date.

Usually, we run incremental backups of the entire drive overnight. Is
there an easy way to backup all files in only this subdir, and perform
the incremental on the rest of the drive?

Thanks a lot for an insight provided!
