IBM 3494 ATL question...

Has anybody figured out how to remotely trigger a re-inventory of the ATL ?

My situation is the library has lost a volume, the volume should be in the ATL
but the ATL is 6-ish miles away.  Not very easy to go trigger an inventory
update at the ATL itself...
