Gerhard,

IX77477 had to do specifically with new scratch tapes
that were purchased pre-labelled with VOL1-HDR1 labels,
and omitted the HDR2 label. If that is your case, you
simply relabel the tapes as a workaround until the PTF
comes out with the apar fix. If these are tapes currently in
adsm storage pool, however, that would not be your
problem because ADSM always relabels tapes correctly
when it allocates them from scratch.

Your drives need to use the same DEVICE= parm on the
drive definition that they used while in the manual library.
(Apparently, a lot of people doing what you are are also
trying to change the device parm from something
like /dev/rmtX to /dev/mtX.) You also do not want to
change the DEVTYPE= parm. (For customers migrating
from Enhanced ADSM to ADSM V3, there is a migration
path that DOES call for these changes, but that doesn't
sound like you.)

As for volrange on checkout, the checkout command only
checks out a single volume. There is no search parm,
therefore no volrange parm. If you are going from a manual
library to a acsls, what do you need to check-out?
