I've got the same problem. The documentation says to use exclude statements
but that never worked.

This is the domain statement:
DOMAIN                  DIRECTORY

These are the exclude statements

EXCLUDE                   DIRECTORY:/O=IMS-INT.OU=XS.OU=ES./.../*
EXCLUDE                   DIRECTORY:/O=IMS-INT.OU=XW.OU=BE./.../*

This is a part of the dsmsched.log

                I am having problems backing up only a part of the NDS from
a Novell 4.11
                server running the version 3.1.3 ADSM client.  Is it still
possible to do
                this or do we have to backup the entire NDS tree.  We have
40,000 student
                ID's and I would like to be able to split the backup up
amongst a number of
                servers.
