Have you tried a "q req" to see if there are any outstanding requests?

Has anyone any clues as to why adsm server (AIX 4.2.1/3.1.1.3 + latest
untested fix) should wait over an hour between the update of an "offsite"
copypool threshold to trigger reclamation and the actual process start
message appearing?

20-07-1998 15:02:34 ANR1040I Space reclamation started for volume P00956,
storage pool BACKUP_X1 (process number 1154).
Today :

Current Date and Time on the Server
----------------------------------------
21-07-1998 16:01:01

... and still no reclamation process starting.
There are other things going on on the server (another reclamation process
and delete filespace, and a few client sessions).
I expect to see a process start message within a couple of minutes, even
though it may be some time later before it gets to shift data from tape to
tape (think time).
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot, Sheelagh
