The problem with mail to news gatways is tha people who expect their mail to
be sent to a limited list of subscribers, gets their mail sent as news to an
unknown number of people. Usualy, spammmers use newsgroups to find addresses
that may be of interest to *their* garbage. This way, an unexpecting mailing
list user may find that he is being target of junk mail. 

Many people use the usenet through mail forwarders or with masked email
addresses to prevent spamming and junk mail. Obviosly a mailing list user
cannot use this procedure as it must subscribe using a *valid* email
account. 

So, IMHO a mail to news gateway of this list may lead to an increase of
garbase in our mailboxes. I'm against it.
